Mailbox & Garage Door Window Insert – Info & Replacement

The mailbox and the wooden white post upon which the green mailbox resides is the responsibility of the individual homeowner.  No portion of the repair or replacement will be covered by the HOA.  If you have a wooden post on your mailbox, please refer to the Wooden Mailbox Post Replacement Program below.

Mailbox Repair (including wooden posts)

Wooden Mailbox Post Replacement Program

The Board of Directors, with the Covenants Committee‘s recommendation, has decided to standardize wooden mailbox post replacements throughout Belmont.  You may continue to utilize your current wooden post, provided you continue to paint and maintain it.  Once the post has reached the end of its serviceable life, you will be required to replace it with the most appropriate vinyl sleeve shown below.

The approved model for single mailboxes is Newport Plus.  For those attached homes that share a common post, the preferred replacement is the Newport Plus Double.

You have the ability to purchase these vinyl sleeves from stores such as Home Depot or Lowe’s, but they will be special orders, so plan ahead if you choose to buy the replacement sleeve on your own.

Mainstreet Mailboxes will still be the preferred mailbox vendor.  No change has been made to the required green mailbox currently in use for your home.  Please be sure to order the appropriate size for your home type.

Replacements only apply to wooden posts. There are currently several styles of wooden posts in the community, so with this standardization, the community will begin to migrate toward one consistent model.

Tournament homes that share posts need to agree to split the cost of replacement, or one homeowner can bear the cost solely, if desired.

This standardization applies only to mailboxes with wooden posts.  The villages affected are as follows:

  • Augusta
  • Baltusrol
  • Cherry Hills
  • Cypress Point
  • Doral (only Foxgrove Ct.)
  • Gleneagles
